I would like to remove the yellow-faded-ugliness-that-was-once-chrome trim from the windows around my Westy. I did some searching in the archives (PITA as "gerry" kept timing out) and found that there were many who did remove the chrome strips without issue. Others mentioned that the trim serves as a "lock" for the window gasket and that something should be used to keep the window heald tightly in place if you choose to remove the trim. A couple of suggestions were to use drip irrigation tubes or spark plug wires inserted into the channel. Is this necessary? The auto glass guy that replaced my windshield thought that the trim did act as a lock. Thoughts and experiences? Chris (JordanVW) didn't you do this quite some time ago? What was your experience? Thanks, Derek
