Folks,
  I'm thinking about hitting the road for vacation in a couple of weeks: from
  here in Boston up to Newfoundland (~1200 miles each way).  Am I asking for
  trouble pushing that far up the coast with an original engine (heads done
  under warranty by VW @ 70k) and tranny, with 156k on the clock?  The rig
  runs like clockwork now -- no leaks, good power, good gas mileage, but I'm
  still a little worried.
