I installed the new solenoid in my starter (after lubing the bendix and
bushing of the starter itself) and re-installed into van. Works like it
should.

At Ca$29.95 for the solenoid it was a cheap starter fix. To all who
suggested replacing the entire starter I say lets wait and see.
