Steve just came by with his voltage regulator and my alternator now charges at 14.03 volts rather than the 13 volts that causes the battery to fail charging properly. Another great improvement. Five minute easy to do repair but shop around for the regulator. VW dealer for $69 or our online or local discount places for $35. William 1989 Vanagon GL 1988 Mercedes 300SE
