I distinctly remember his voice doing a series of TV commercials in Iowa
for Old Home bread where a truck driver(thinkit might have been and old
home bread truck driver) would stop in a truck stop and converse/flirt with
the waitress named Mavis all the while Mr. McCall(Davis's) was doing his
voiceover singing of some story line that vaguely involved Old Home
Bread. They were classic commercials in their day.
