Anyone know of the availabilty of used Golf/Rabbit (4 cylinder) GTI oil
coolers here in North America?

I'm mostly interested in just the GTI oil-filter flange with built-in
thermostat and connections for oil-cooler radiator. I guess I could always
just order one from VW, but you know what that means...

I would like to modify said GTI oil-filter flange to improve the performance
of my stock, under-performing TDI sandwich oil cooler as used in my Vanagon
conversion. Got the idea from this German Vanagon TD owner:
