For all those not living on the great lakes consider yourself lucky.  After a
two hour commute home tonight (normally 20 mins) in a driving "lake enhanced
blizzard" I am wondering if it would be better if my 97 Jetta stayed in the
garage in these conditions, especially after the near slide into an uncoming
Excursion.   So naturally I thought Syncro? Why not, I live in one of only a
few places on earth that experiences lake effect snow.  I am considering a
non-westy and would like to hear some thought on choice years.
