both these vans i've sunk a bunch of money into (more than theyre worth), and both are in very good working order.. i wont even break even. anyway, here goes: '84 wolfsburg edition vanagon with huge sliding factory sunroof (4'x4') this van only has 79k orig miles. no rust, paint excellent. i paid $3k for it 2 yrs ago. it also has working a/c, which is rare because most sunroof vans didnt have a/c because of the location of the sunroof. blue w/ blue interior. automatic (new trans) this van has had a ton of work done to it, and was just inspected. (today) actually i picked up the van today from the shop (got new cv's, ball joints, complete tranny and final drive change to synthetic, and a ton of other stuff (you can see all reciepts) and the bill was $1200.00. in the past 2 months it has had: new heads/gaskets, complete new S&S exhaust, all new fuel lines, water pump, starter, ign switch, tires, brakes, pushrod tube seals, a/c has new seals and recharged, etc..basically everything that could break was replaced. the van has a weekender interior, side curtains, and rear screen, and screened camper style side windows. $4400 for the van. its mechanically perfect, and reliable. needs nothing. if youre interested, i also have a whole carat interior, alloys, fiberglass bumpers, etc, (install yourself) that i will sell with it for $1000 more. or '89 Vanagon Carat, auto, power windows, power doorlocks, pwr mirrors, working cruise control, COLD a/c, p/s 2.1L, etc, burgundy w/ silver rocker trim/fiberglasbumpers, alloy wheels, weekender style queensize sofabed, grey velour int, drivers seat swivals (installed at vw dealer) both removeable jumpseats, fold out side table, overhead light, looks great, super clean, no rust ever, never any accidents, all orig paint shiny.. brand new complete S&S exhaust system, new rear drums, new w/s, inspected, tranny service, $$ invested in service, runs great.. $5200 (just put a new Lf rotor/caliper on it last week 10/30/00) email me if interested, both in allentown, pa chris allentown, pa 610-395-2485
