Has anyone with an analog clock that quit working been able to bring it back
to life?

A couple of years ago I pulled the instrument cluster and checked the leads
going to the clock and applied a little oil to the exposed part of the
shaft. However not knowing what to expect I didn't want to disassemble it
further and risk making things worse.
