Subject:1.9l TD Engine torque & power tables, westy drag.

During Christmas a friend and I did some measurements on my new 1.9l
AAZ TD engine. The measurement method is the one that came out of
John's and my email exchange over the vanagon list. The results are
listed in the table below. Note that measurements were made with a 2
1/4" straight pipe exhaust, and a custom intake. (Thanks to Mark
D. for the parts!) For comparison the AAZ engine in the European VW
cars list at 55kW with catalytic converter and stock exhaust and
intake.

Engine rpm P (kW) T (Nm)
      ------------------------------------
       1500.00 18.38 117.03
       2000.00 29.06 138.75
       2500.00 38.32 146.39
       3000.00 46.18 146.98
       3500.00 52.62 143.56
       4000.00 57.64 137.61
       4500.00 61.26 129.99
       5000.00 63.46 121.20

For those interested in Vanagon Westy drag here are some measured
figures on mine. Again for the method see the vanagon archives.

      Speed (m/s) Total drag (kW)
      ----------------------------
         15.00 -7.99
         20.00 -19.69
         25.00 -34.74
         30.00 -53.15
