When we bought  our van the radio would only play one station. No
buttons would work. The volume,fader,treble,bass,and tape player worked
but wouldn't eject. We know about the code and tried pressing the AM/FM
and SCAN buttons simultaneously to no avail. It continued to play the
one station. I had to disconnect the battery for a different problem and
when I reconnected it the radio displayed SAFE so I figured I could
enter the code then since the manuals mention this display but the
buttons would still not respond. Now the radio is useless except to add
a little light at night. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we need a new or used bright headlight lense for the drivers side.
Suprise, the VW dealer's price is too high.
