Back in 1990, I brought a new Westy over from Germany. Stored in the
driver's door was a blue umbrella with a VW logo. It slid into the hole
that is visible in the rear of the driver's door when it is open, just
below the latch. I got nagged into selling that van (long story) by
family. Since then, I have owned several vanagons and campers and have
never seen another with that umbrella present. Anyone else ever find one
in their van? Or was this just a perk from a thoughtful dealer?
