To:  M. GHamburg and others:

The default IE 4.0/Outlook Express sends mail as HTML.  If you go to TOOLS>
Options > Send and set the "Mail Sending Format" to Text the problem will go
away.  Also, you can set the Address Book for the Van List Address to "Send
Email as Text only".  Look at the properties of your address and check the
box in the lower left.

I suspect Netscape 4 would have similar settings that could be altered.

You're NOT the only one posting in this manner. I'm able to read this stuff
but as was mentioned by others, I get 2 copies and one of them (the HTML) is
obviously NOT understood by the list server and wastes a lot of bandwidth.
I'm surprised the List owners have not contacted those posting in HTML
because it all takes disk space.
