Greetings, volks! A quick question regarding gas mileage. My Westy currently gets very poor mileage (around 14 mpg) and I'm wondering why. Last visit to the mechanic revealed that my catalytic converter is a hollow box; would this effect fuel efficiency? Anything else that typically decreases the mpg? I've had it for just over six months now, so the likelihood that it needs standard replacements (O2 sensor, etc) is great. A cc reply to my email (afslj1@uaa.alaska.edu) is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Steve Johnson Anchorage, AK
