Subject:Center console ideas was: Large empty Space Behind rear light

I”ve seen many different ideas on this space.

I actually built a fairly large box out of light weight willow wood. It fit between the passenger seat and the emergency break. It had two cup holders and a smaller storage area in the front for pens, sun glasses and the like. It was great when driving but was too tall and made seat swivel or walking to the back tricky.

I could however store a great deal of tools and items in the larger part and still have cup holders and smaller items in the from.
I’m thinking of a smaller version going forward.

But, mine is still in use. It was raffled off at West River Westies and the man who does Key and related sales at events is using it in his vanagon.

This center area is useful but I also Like to move around in that area when camping and seat is turned.
