Okay, I'm giving a long overdue update for this problem. And AFAIK the issue is solved. I think I had already replaced the plugs/cap/rotor. It ran okay for about a week or 2 and then the hesitation started again. So I replaced the coil, and no dice. Finally the plug/coil wires were replaced and that finally did the trick. To be honest, I have no idea how old the plug wires were but I guess they were done. So I've driven a few weeks with no hesitation problems at all. Thanks again for all who contributed. Hesitates when changing pressure up on the accelerator. Release and it stops hesitating. It idles fine. Revs fine with no load. So I'm not sure what's going on here. Fuel pump? Fuel filter? Ignition: just changed the plugs/cap/rotor. I'm thinking it's time to change the spark plug wires too. I just don't want to spend too much on guesswork. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
