Hi all. I'm in the middle of buttoning up repair/rebuild of the rear trailing arms. Some pics near bottom of this thread if your'e curious: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7642718&highlight=repair++arm#7642718 I'll measure to see if it will fit, but have others found that a shallow O2 socket can handle the (110 Ft-lb ?) torque for the axle housing to trailing arm bolts? https://www.kmstools.com/cta-3pc-oxygen-senssor-socket-set-20831 Locally sourcing a 22mm crows foot means buying the a complete set, if I can even find a set. Then again, I used a small sledge and combo wrench to remove the bolts so have "torqued" down the passenger side bolts using similar force blows to wrench. I know this is hard on the tool but the price was right. ;) FWIW, a 3/4 piece of plywood wedges nicely between wrench face and backing plate.
