I guessed I missed something along the way. I have never seen diesel instructions promoting the use of gasoline except in small quantities to prevent gelling. I would think kerosene is a much better alternative before gasoline as it won't damage the engine. Hip Hip Huzzah!! One of the cool things about diesels (at least the older models), are the fueling instructions. aka, if you can't get diesel fuel, you can use gasoline if you can't get gasoline you can use kerosene if you can't get kerosene you can use alcohol etc. (of course the recommendations are to drive more conservatively on the alternate fuels). Most of us, of course, won't be driving in places were that is a concern.
