Hi all.

The cable broke on one side.

Searching subject line, I found a few details in the archives about
this. I see a "Z" on end of cable and assume the spring is in the
lower part of arm

What solution(s) have others come up with to fix this cable? Easy to
find cable, but am not sure if simply crimping a "Z" part to cable
would be strong enough. (though I bet there's shops that do this kind
of thing)

Given that the remaining spring will be under tension, am I correct in
assuming I'd need to strap the struts together to safely remove strut
assembly IF pop top mostly closed? (not enough lumber handy to
properly prop it open all the way)
