I'm thinking of pulling the carpet out of the passenger area of my GL. It's pretty worn out, actually ripped in a few places, I'd guess by someone trying to remove the center seat. Since I have kids, I'm contemplating something a bit easier to clean than carpet. Considering laminate flooring (e.g. Pergo) or rubber tile. Anyone tried this, or have any other ideas? One thing I'm a bit concerned about is that a hard floor might make the interior more noisy -- I'm sure the carpet has some echo-absorbing qualities. Allan -- 1991 Vanagon GL
