In an attempt to right my temp gauge read-out, I want to swap in a new
sensor on the t-stat.  Can this be done (with a quick hand) without
going back and bleeding the entire coolant system?

 

I DO intend to try cleaning the existing sensor connections first to see
if that fixes it.
