i have a 87 vanagon, automatic.
i am having a shop check the brakes (the front are always hot).
he said the back brakes havent been working at all because of
a faulty pressure plate--all the braking was handled by the front.

the odd thing is he says he cant find anyone who has the part
except one guy in texas.

is this one of those parts only found in a junk yard?
