A box of latex gloves and roll of paper towel will be your best friends
when you begin to work on the engine. Costco sells box of 100 such gloves
for a few dollars I think. You will need a few pairs on a weekend day of
work on the engine. The gloves make cleaning your hands so much easier
before you sit down for dinner. The paper towel will be very handy whenever
cleaning is needed. You will use a lot of it to keep thing clean.
