I'm finally getting to repair the rear fibreglass bumper. Both corners had been damaged by a PO. I need to remove the bumper by removing the bumper brackets that are held to the frame by 2 bolts each side. The problem is that one of the nuts that are welded to the inside frame member is loose. When I turn the bolt the nut turns also. Is there a way to hold the nut, or do I have to drill or Dremel that bolt off? The next question is how do I secure a nut securely on the inside of the frame? I don't have access to a welder. Any suggestions are welcome. Ed Wiebe, owner of 1990 Westfalia. .
