Using the following two URL's, I was able to take my german thermostat
(purchased from Bus Depot) and get it installed and working.

This was for my 81 aircooled.

If you have hesitated for *any* reason, just go for it. Its easy as pie, not
very pricey and supposedly very good for yer motor. My only wish is that I
had done it sooner.
