Subject:brake indicator light- 1985

I see now that there is a mistake or 2 in the Bentley wiring diagram for
the 1985 brake warning light circuit. If you look at the 1984 and 1986
diagrams for that area of the wiring an error becomes obvious in the
1985 diagram. The "L" lead from the seat belt warning relay is missing
entirely in the1985 diagram and the wire that should be going from there
to the seat belt light is mistakenly shown as connected to one of the
brake warning switches instead but the switch it comes from is not
labeled. Good luck with this one!

You did not mention any dash changes in your recent repair efforts but
one thing to keep in mind is that the brake/seatbelt warning light
assembly is not interchangeable from earlier years to the 85+ dash. If
neither your fluid level switch or your parking brake switch are causing
your dash warning light to be on I would seriously wonder if someone may
have put the earlier brake warning light assembly in your dash.
