<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>hey all,</DIV> <DIV>for those of you who know, i have been doing the PM on my 87 syncro westy project. (rescued syncro with 70k on it, absolutely no trim but engine strong and tranny seemingly strong, getting it prepped and ready to paint) anyways, i pulled the rear cvs. it took a good day to get them out, clean them up and disassemble them. well this is what i uncovered: cages on two of them completely cracked, severe wear pattern fom the ball, and all kinds of dents and dings on the outter disk showing someone has screwed around with these before, a hack no less. anyways, i am doing some private eye work here. on a relatively low mileage van, not well maintained though, how could the cv's be in such bad shape? ran out of grease from bad boots and found out too late? looks they like they binded up in a bad way. but how could all four be so bad? i am curious how they could get so bad. any ideas here?</DIV> <DIV>jason</DIV></div><br clear=all><hr> <a href="http://g.msn.com/8HMBENUS/2728??PS="><b>Get 10MB of e-mail storage!</b> Sign up for Hotmail Extra Storage.</a> </html>
