Markus,
If you can pull off the drums do so just to look
at the brake shoes and the adjustment mechanism. The
brakes are self adjusting but this mechanism can jam
with age. An inexpensive brake tool will allow you
to adjust the brakes with the drums ON but perhaps
with the tires off. Adjust until you feel a light
drag of the shoe against the drum. From the back
looking toward the van I think you need to turn the
adjuster counter clockwise. regards gary

Subject: Adjusting Rear Brakes - any tips?
Hi,
I was told that I have to adjust my rear brakes. I
pulled off the drums and moved the shoes outward a
bit, but is there an easier way?
Thanks for any tips,
...Markus
