Hey guys,

Why don"t you have your local hitch shop custom fab a 2-inch receiver set up
for your vanagon.....put on one the rear as well as the front......with the
2-inch receiver box you can add cool items such as reciever racks, bike
carriers and so on......just be sure that the shop that custom fabs your
hitch makes it so that it has plates on the side that bolt to the
chasis directly through large bolts....otherwise you will fatigue the stock
bumper brackets as the weight of the rack bumps up and down.......trust me
on that one......

Anyway with a receiver on the front, you can maximize the carrying capacity
of the van.....a little Honda 50 maybe?
With some bikes or luggage on the rear receiver rack.......
