I have two recommendations for those visiting the Halifax area and require
service for their vans:

1.  Jerry Settle's VW Service, Harrietsfield NS, 902.477.5556

Settle's do much of the local work and are the only gentlemen that I know of
rebuilding engines, etc.  It  takes about 20 minutes to get there from
downtown.  You go through the Armdale rotary and head off down the Old
Sambro Road.  They are on the right in Harrietsfield.

2.  City Auto Repair, 336 Portland St, Dartmouth NS, 902.461.1858

These gentlemen also do a lot of late model VW repair work.  It takes about
ten minutes to get there from downtown Halifax.  Cross the old bridge to
Dartmouth ( $0.75 toll), get onto Portland Street in downtown Dartmouth and
follow it around.
