Subject:Re: slider handle lock change

Some erroneous information has been given on changing out the lock plug on
the slider handles. It is NOT retained by a roll pin as are the front
handles. There is a small set screw in the shoulder of the handle which
must be removed. It is frequently not seen, as it is slightly recessed and
resembles a spot of dirt. Upon removal, there is a spring at the bottom
that returns the lock to center. This must be correctly positioned. Be
sure to use some medium strength lok-tite on the set screw upon
re-installation. Don't over-tighten the screw. I'd also clean the lock
with carb cleaner and re-lubricate it before installation.
