Our recently acquired 89 Carat has a bad speedo. It reads at 10 to 15 MPH
fast at highway speeds, and the odometer doesn't work. I've fixed the
odometer in older Vanagons by bonding a little gear to a shaft, but that
wouldn't help the fast reading would it? Should I get a replacement or have
mine fixed? I'd like sources along with your advice.
