I am a diesel newbie.  And could use some help or someone to point me in the
right direction.

Keith sorry no tank or cap.

Right inside the rear License cover access door is a tank, I guess its the
coolant overflow tank.  Mine has no cap and the main coolant tank has no over
flow hose the PO said none of these have caps and don't need one ???huh?? Any
suggestions??

The PO showed me a Knob on the dash board that pulls out to help start, but
it seems like it gives no particular help.  How do you use this knob should
it make a noticeable difference when used?

From what I read I should be getting 26 MPG with a 1.6 NA , I think it is
more like 17MPG any tune up suggestions to try?

Can I assume if I see black smoke out the tail pipe that my MPG is going down
the tubs?
