A while ago there was a thread about how do you keep your poptop open while
you're pulling in the canvas -- I was a bit puzzled by the people who said
they rested it on their heads or whatever.  My poptop will remain by itself
in any position within maybe 18" elevation at the front.  So if yours
doesn't, I suspect that the cable-assist mechanism in one or both of the
lifting legs has failed.
