This thread about staying awake reminded me of a story supposedly about Winston Churchill. It is said that he never actually slept for any great period of time during the war, but would rather doze off in a comfortable chair with his pocket watch in his hand. When he zonked out completely, his hand would open, the watch would drop, and he would awake refreshed and ready for battle. I have found that short naps like that will do wonders, and don't take too long. (In fact if I doze for more than about 15 minutes, it makes me too groggy to continue) The trick is that it usually takes longer to find a safe-looking spot for the nap than the actual nap itself. :-) Brent Christensen '89 GL Syncro Westy Santa Barbara, CA
