Hello volks (again...)
I found the following info in the archives:

I checked with the local VW dealers and they know nothing about it.
I DID find the lockout lug and jumper bus bar.
Now I nead to find a reputable mailorder source (who ships internationally) at
reasonable cost (I've seen prices all the way from $25 to $50. Since it's just
an electronic relay that seems a bit steep IMO).
Another idea: it seems that this relay is also used in other VW's.
The parts clerk here said that the 211 955 531 part isn't a vanagon part, but
rather a BEETLE part. After reading the doc describing the VW parts numbering
I understood that a part number starts with the FIRST vehicle it was used on
(even discontinued), even though it's now part of another car (e.g. the "211"
prefix is a beetle prefix, and the part was first used in a beetle).
So if this part was/is used in other VW cars, a pointer would be helpful.
Maybe they don't stock these beetle parts here anymore, but do for newer
cars.
