We're pleased to make the following Caravana Pan-Americana gear avaiable
for purchase. Every item is from L.L.Bean
of Freeport, Maine. Each of the following items is embroidered with the Caravana
Pan-Americana logo, and carries the L.L.Bean "Guarantee
of 100% Satisfaction".
Each item is being sold at a slight profit (approximately $10). All funds raised will go into a trip pool, and will be used to pay for the embroidery setup ($140.00), letterhead, etc. This enterprise is entirely non-profit.
The Caravana logo (as designed by traveller Michael Sullivan) is shown below roughly life-size (the outer ring is 3 inches in diameter.) The logo consists of 16,000 stitches. The background color shown is Soleil.
We're offering the following gear. Please note size and item code when ordering. All prices are in United States dollars.
From the tiniest stitch to the tough YKK zippers, this jacket is built to last. On the outside, the Supplex nylon shell stops biting wind, resists sleet and blocks swirling snow. Inside, the body is lined with cozy Polartec 300 polyester fleece, and the sleeves with 100 gram Thinsulate insulation. The shell is finished with Teflon for long-lasting resistance to moisture and stains. The sleeves are nylon-lined for easy on/off. There is a roomy stand-up colar. Brushed tricot-lined hand-warmer pockets. Interior zip pocket. Sized to fit comfortably over a shirt. Comfort rated to 10°F. Machine wash and dry.

This is strictly low-tech. Select the product(s) you want, total up the prices, and send me a check with your order. I'll place an order with L.L.Bean every two months.
