Subject:Re: Clutch job needed in Southern Maine

In my experience almost any competent mechanic can do the clutch on a van. I have a syncro and have had 2WD. Both had clutch job. 2WD was straight forward with no problems. The syncro was more expensive but the guy, not a van specialist, had no problems.
Just my experience.

Don't need it instantly but my 85 westy needs a clutch - starting to slip up hills. I'm in Jay maine near auburn/lewiston - augusta area. Bought it 2 years ago, finally got around to fixing it (fuel pump relay) and getting it on the road.
