Hi folks,

        I have several studs on my front older style GW brakes that have been cross threaded badly by local tire shops and such. 

        I have a set of new studs to go in.

These need to be pressed out and pressed in again.

        A friend with a press has offered to help.  He is under the impression we may have to repack the bearings in the front. 

Does anyone know if that will be necessary? 

And, What is The correct grease to do that correctly? 

I need to have all materials needed before arriving at his place. 

Currently I have 10 studs, new lug nuts and the locking Mercedes nut to replace the one that is pinged to stay in place.

So, best grease?  And is that needed to remove the pars needed to press out and in the studs?
