Are we talking about the knob where the screw bears against the table leg,
or the knob that secures the table to lock it in place so that it is stable
in a horizontal plane?  Either way, it sounds like the bore is stripped so
that the knob does not tighten.  For the horizontal stability knob, there
is a plate that can be replaced, and GoWesty sells them, or did.  McNeely
