Yes, nothing like having a window crank that works! GoWesty gave an honest evaluation of the problem: it's not the crank at fault, it's all the crud and dried up grease on the 35+ year old internal mechanisms. Since my Vanagon got crunched in the Passenger Door, and I've got a new Donor Door, I've diligently removed everything from old door to transfer to new door. Also, I've taken special attention to clean up all the crud...and re-grease things. Yes, I am fond of my original Window Cranks, many happy memories....and with new grease, I am predicting marvelous success. For a very long time.

Bus depot version is a plastic insert but someone gave me a metal version years ago … wish they had given me two! They were better.
