Subject:Got skunked yesterday by 2.1L NoStart

Friend Andy here in ABQ has a 2.1L that won’t start,, Cranks well but NoStart ~

Spent a bunch of hours yesterday diag'ing but No Joy,,,

        Info from Andy

with starter fluid it ignited, like poofed, but did not run

Verified-
spark - all cylinders whole path between coil and sparkplugs (1and2 were not sparking so those were replaced.
fuel - took off bolt on Tee, squirted fuel almost to ceiling
injectors - removed all injectors and fuel squirted
tried known good ecu (and this ecu in running van worked)
tried another (unverified) AFM
Distributor gear was off a bunch, reset per bentley. verified via timing light Cyl 1 was getting spark at TDC.
Temp 2 - tried unplugged and shorted
tried starting with fuel relay removed
quick checked cyl pressure on 2 while plug was out, good compression pushed my finger out. due to compression the engine was hard to turn with the plugs in.

Additional data-

When we opened pass’ side valve cover to verify TDC valve position, a bunch of fuely oil spilled out. even after all that drained the dipstick showed overfilled to upper twist

In general the thing smells fuely - could be from all the cranking.

It hasn't run since I had it. PO said it ran and then he did something and then it didn't run.

In addition to info from Andy above I'll add >

Battery shows 12.58VDC while cranking

Tried New Ignition Switch

Swapped in known good Coil

Swapped in known good IAC Relay

Tried cranking with WOT just incase flooded
