Subject:List successes

Hi folks,

        Some list successes.

I reached out looking for a Tach for my 84 , and a list member got back to me letting me know it may take a little while to locate but he thinks he has what I need.

I would not normally do such a big upgrade but it is clearly needed for the health of my engine! Can’t do more long trips with van forgotten in third gear!
Then, I reached out asking for a headlight switch for my 85, the instrument lights no longer come on and the dimmer wheel doesn’t turn them on.

again, a list member who is also a good friend, saw my post and the switch is in the mail to me.

It is a challenge keeping these vans not only fully functional and to maintain a tidy appearance inside and out.

I so appreciate this list, not only for the recent help with parts, but the great information that either allows me to do my own repairs or have what is needed so I can get things done when a helper is available.

Thanks Jim Arnott for the link to the Tach install directions, they are printed and ready to go.

Recent blind guy van work successes
Windshield squirters now working, fix was to cut out the kink where hose met the pump.

Squealing power steering on sharp turns, fixed with tightened belt. Also tightened alternator belt as both were new and now should have stretched and be ready for long service.
May need to repeat this job soon on my 85.

Heng in there folks as we keep sending good wishes to our Jerry server.
