Hi all, the injection pump on my 82 diesel westy is leaking. It appears to
be the top gasket between the housing cover and the quantity adjuster (or
is it the governor?) (See item #92 in the photo here
https://photos.app.goo.gl/AL4FsaLKfUTyDWqy8) I bought the Deluxe repair kit
from dieselgeek (with both top and
bottom gaskets for the quantity adjuster as well as the o-ring.) Is this
(at a minimum replacing the top gasket) something that a shade tree
mechanic can tackle, and what do I need to be concerned about? (I'm not
able to find detailed service instructions for this task.)
Thanks!
