John, the reason you probably haven't gotten emails from The List is because nobody has been sending them; and, what few are sent are only seen in Spam Folder.  Regarding your Vanagon....man, this is a super great deal for somebody.  We have followed you for years; we know you were an airplane mechanic in Alaska, and only top notch work is allowed.  A Subaru conversion now goes for minimum $15K, at least in California.  So your price is extremely cheap, and I know your transmission is also fairly new.  Tell folks you are in Alabama so they will have an approximate idea of details involved in the sale.  So sorry to hear of medical issues; we know you have been through a lot; and the decision to sell and pass on a great Vanagon is a good one.  The Samba is a great resource....wishing you good luck.

It has been a while since I posted because for some reason I got dropped
from the list. Had not gotten any emails either. Now everything seems good.

I HAVE MY 1991 Vanagon Carat w/Subaru conversion on the market. I have
reach ols age and a stage of decrepitude that makes it necessary to sell
it. With a stroke leg on one side and a broken hip on the other, I can't
even get into it anymore. SO, it has to go. I have put it on Marketplace
and The Samba at $12,500. If interested drop me an email. I have a spec
sheet I can send you.
