Subject:Seat belt wire?
From:Eric Caron <ericcaron96@COMCAST.NET>

So, I’m replacing my driver’s side seat belt on my 84. The old one is chewed up from Previous owner. He must of had a sharp belt buckle.

So the new belt is slightly different, from a 85 or 86 vanagon. I have to replace the receiver as well.

The wire connects to a plastic connector.

What does the wire do? Is it really needed?

Any tips on getting that stubborn connector apart?

Soon with healthier, and now matching seat belts.
