I have seen no relationship between leaks and cold weather.  I lived in
Oklahoma for the first five years I had the camper.  Up and down
temperatures, but typically below freezing at night, above in the day in
winter, which I suspect is the case in western NC most winters.  Now I live
in eastern Washington.  Cold all winter, but I haven't seen that happen in
early fall either, when nighttime freezing, daytime warming is typical.
