Uniwerks has a different approach to the luggage rack holes.  Rather then screens and glue he sells five pop in discs that let water in but keep out large debris. Price about $8.00.  I received mine today and popped them in.  They take a bit of force to press in but become nearly flush.  They are a perfect fit.  I used them on my 84 Westfalia.

        No need to remove the rack to install and they certainly seem solid.

        I plan to get a second set and keep them for when the 85 screens give out or if I find the others work better. They have holes in the disc rather then screen and I think this will work better and would be easier to clean.
