Subject:Charcoal canister questions
From:Eric Caron <ericcaron96@COMCAST.NET>

Hi folks,

I suspect my charcoal canister is causing my gas tank to build up a vacuum. When I take off the gas cap it sucks in.

I took off one hose from the top of the canister. The smaller one, and the tank no longer builds up a vacuum.

So, has anyone ever replaced a canister?
The replacements don’t seem to be exact fits so that will be a bit more challenging then I planned on.

Anyone have a recommendation for exact or closest fit?
Also any way to test mine?

I can push air through by mouth. It is easier to push out then pull in. But when I push air in water comes out the bottom.

Any collective wisdom on this canister?

Anyone have a new original to sell me as that would be so much easier to install.
