Well said, Jim.
I volunteer at a quarterly event in my town called Repair Cafe, where I go
with my tools and know how and spend a Saturday fixing things that other
neighbors bring in. I've fixed everything from a computer to a small wood
chipper and it's very gratifying to hear, "I was just going to buy a new
one, but now I don't have to." Anything to keep another item out of the
landfill...
